Stat buttons

Stat buttons appear at the top of the form, providing quick access to related records:

  • Maintenance: Shows open/total maintenance requests. Only visible when a maintenance equipment is linked. Click to view all maintenance requests.

  • Invoices: Shows invoice count and total amount. Only visible when invoices exist. Click to view related invoices.

  • Tickets: Shows the number of project tasks linked to this equipment. Click to view all tasks.

  • Purchases: Shows purchase order count and total amount. Only visible when purchases exist. Click to view related purchase orders.

  • Documents: Shows the number of attached documents. Click to view all documents.

  • Fleet: Only visible when a fleet vehicle is linked. Click to open the fleet vehicle form.

Depending on the Category, the Printers and Measuring Devices sub-modules add further buttons and a tab of their own: see Printers and Measuring Devices.

Main fields

The main section contains core equipment data organized in groups:

Title area:

  • Name: The name of the equipment. For measuring devices and etalons, it cannot be typed: it is built from the serial number and the model, and it is updated when they change (see Names of measuring devices and etalons).

  • Equipment ID: A unique reference generated automatically from a sequence. It can be adjusted, and it is never copied when an equipment is duplicated.

  • Serial Number: The manufacturer’s serial number.

  • Internal ID: A customer-specific internal identifier, for cases where the customer tracks the equipment under a number of their own.

  • Stock Lot: The lot or serial number record in Inventory, when the equipment was delivered from your own stock.

  • MAC Address: For network-connected equipment.

Tip

Wherever an equipment is selected, for example in the Equipment field of a task, a printer counter, or a calibration, you can type its name, Serial Number, Internal ID, or Equipment ID to find it. The same applies when records such as repair orders are searched by Equipment.

Left column:

  • Subscription: If the equipment is part of a subscription.

  • Customer: The customer using the equipment.

  • Owner: The legal owner. On a new etalon, the customer and the owner both default to your own company (see Etalons).

  • Assignees: Users responsible for this equipment.

  • Sales Team: The responsible sales team.

  • Projects: Projects linked to this equipment for ticket management.

  • Tags: Categorization tags.

Right column:

  • Category: General; with the sub-modules, also Printer (see Printers), Measuring Device, and Etalon (see Measuring Devices). The category decides which models can be selected, which buttons and tabs are shown, and whether the name is typed or built automatically.

  • Manufacturer: The equipment brand.

  • Model: The specific model. Only the models of the equipment’s category, and of its manufacturer if one is set, can be selected. A model created from this field (Create or Create and edit… in the drop-down menu) gets the equipment’s category and manufacturer (see Manufacturers and models).

  • Product: Automatically set from the model’s linked product.

  • Product Family: The product family classification.

  • Production Year: Year of manufacture.

  • Warranty Expiration: Warranty end date.

Location group:

  • Location: Delivery address of the customer.

  • Location Name and Address: Auto-filled from the selected location.

Contact group:

  • Contact: Contact person at the customer site.

  • Contact Name, Email, Phone: Auto-filled from the selected contact.
